Head of Regulatory Compliance – APAC (Open for Foreigners)
Central (Singapore)

Responsibilities:

Ensures all products of Asia are 100% regulatory compliant.  Develops a strategic Regulatory support plan which enables the Commercial growth plan.  Proactively leads product registrations, working with government authorities (like KFDA etc) to ensure 100% compliance delivering a competitive advantage. Also - partners with R&D leads the company towards developing strong claim approval with regulators.
Assures products are of highest quality, safe and in compliance via product formula assessment, product registrations and label/artwork development.
Lead / Directs/manages Product Safety and Regulatory Affairs teams across Asia to ensure compliance activities are adhered to:
Government and statutory approvals for products
Global programs
Ensure all programs are validated and verification steps in place to demonstrate due diligence
Leads Incident/issues Management team for regulatory incidents
Develop and implement training program for all crisis management from regional team to country teams
Coordinate crisis management support and communicate  incidents happening around region and globe
Develop and implement risk identification and management program and early response systems that prevent or limit incidents and drive continuous improvement and ultimately eliminates recalls.
Assure the regional and local organizations have the right structure, capabilities and work systems and processes that will assure compliance to regulation for product, package labels and advertising copies.

Requirements:

Must have a bachelor degree in Science or related discipline (Food Science, Engineering, Microbiology, Bio Technology). Master of Science in Food processing and packaging would be beneficial. Must have long experience in Food Regulatory and Safety areas.
Minimum of 10-12 years experiences at regional leadership and management level in Food Company.
Strong leadership skills-envisioning, energizing, enabling , collaboration and executing
Demonstrate ability in communicating effectively both written and verbally in English and understands and successfully applies customer service and influencing skills e.g. negotiate effectively, maintain professional manner when in stressful situation, take ownership to follow through and etc.
Requires a thorough understanding of Asia-Pacific food regulations and processes involved in applications for regulatory amendments.
Computer software skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.
